
Alex focuses his practice on real estate litigation. He represents buyers, sellers, and property owners in a wide range of real estate disputes, including contract disputes, claims arising from the failure to disclose known defects, partition actions, nuisance actions, and land ownership disputes, among others. He has performed hundreds of real estate closings in both Kentucky and Indiana, advising clients on matters of title and insurance, and represents individuals and corporate clients in eminent domain, land use, zoning, adverse possession, and quiet title actions.
Alex also maintains a municipal law practice, representing plan commissions, boards of zoning appeals, and building commissions in open meetings and in matters on appeal, as well as advising municipal clients on code enforcement and the drafting of ordinances and regulations.
Before joining Pitt & Frank, Alex gained extensive experience at a large regional law firm litigating a broad range of matters, with a primary emphasis on real estate. He has served as Deputy General Counsel for the Kentucky Real Estate Authority and as General Counsel for the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Funding Commission. He tried 23 jury trials during his time as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Jefferson and Bullitt Counties in Kentucky.
Alex earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Indiana, and holds an inactive license in California.
Alex and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 29 years and have seven children. They live in Louisville, Kentucky.
